Making a difference in the neighborhood
Safe start to thefun evening
When we get together
We have a program that welcomes new neighbors. If someone new moves into the neighborhood near you (or has recently), please let us know so that the ENWCA can visit and personally welcome them to our great neighborhood. If you would like to come with us when we do so, you are welcome. Please send info on any new neighbors to trvldawn@aol.com.
We still have a limited number of Slow Down signs left. If you would like one, please contact trvldawn@aol.com. Thanks to a very generous donation by Scott Soffen to the ENWCA, these signs are free of charge.
We are pleased that the township has installed a “Parent with Child” parking sign at Lions’ Den playground, as requested by the ENWCA.
In 2023 two pollinator gardens were installed in the park. These gardens are maintained and watered by nearby neighbors.
New trees were planted in the park in 2023 with the total of new trees over the last few years at 50.
Board members toured the park in March 2024 with representatives from the township to review issues of concern including invasive species, drainage issues, planting of new trees, and removal of dead or invasive vegetation.
Problem drainage in Erlton North Park has been studied by the Township Engineer and they expect to review their findings with us in the very near future. -We took our concerns to the Township about the trees on Cooper Landing Road and their impact on safety. They are very aware of the problem and will keep us posted as they take steps to remedy the problem.
Your civic association purchased and installed a Free Little Library in the Lion's Den Park. Like others in the area, books are free to take. they should be returned, or replaced when the children are done with them.
